Position Summary
The Senior Executive – Accounts will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with statutory and organizational financial policies, and supporting budgeting and financial analysis. The role demands strong accounting expertise, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain monthly accounting schedules, books of accounts, and supporting financial records.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations for branch bank accounts and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
- Record and account for depreciation of fixed assets and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
- Reconcile General Ledger balances with subsidiary ledgers on a monthly basis.
- Prepare monthly Budget vs. Actual variance reports along with analytical commentary.
- Ensure compliance with organizational financial policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls.
- Coordinate with branch offices to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly stock statements and maintain inventory-related financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of the Balance Sheet, financial statements, and periodic MIS reports.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as required by the management.
- Maintain proper accounting documentation and supporting records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Support budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and management reporting activities.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate or Postgraduate in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Sound knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments effectively.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and professional integrity.
- Good communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to meeting deadlines.
