Creating a strategic plan to ensure revenue and margin achievement of the Animal Nutrition subcategory, covering Cattle Feed, Mineral Mixtures, Bypass Protein supplements, and allied livestock nutrition products
Working closely with the Online and Offline Sales Teams, Marketing, and cross-functional teams to formulate product sales strategies, define product requirements, and ensure timely availability across geographies
Helping sales and marketing teams position Animal Nutrition products across livestock segments and regions according to supplier propositions and farmer income profiles
Monitoring and tracking product movement and category contribution, and developing strategies to liquidate slow movers and distress inventory in coordination with regional sales teams
Leading pre-launch and post-launch planning activities for new product introductions, including product selection, market sizing, packaging, and supplier coordination through to launch
Conducting training sessions for the Sales Team on newly launched products and species-wise or stage-wise (calf, heifer, lactating cow) positioning of new and existing products
Working closely with the Procurement Team for advance procurement planning aligned with product positioning plans, seasonal demand patterns, and market trends
Building and maintaining strong strategic relationships with existing Animal Nutrition suppliers associated with AgroStar as well as new suppliers, owning all aspects of product planning, pricing, and positioning on AgroStar platforms
Driving on-ground demand generation through farmer engagement, vet channel activation, and DVS/COCO store-level execution
Building the AgroStar Animal Nutrition brand in the external market through field visibility, activations, and supplier partner management
Studying and analyzing farmer/livestock owner requirements, regional feeding practices, and emerging market trends
BVSc (Bachelor of Veterinary Science) or BSc in Animal Nutrition / Dairy Science is mandatory
Age between 30 and 35 years
Minimum 8-10 years of on-ground sales and field management experience in the Cattle Feed or Animal Nutrition industry, preferably with reputed national or regional suppliers
Strong technical understanding of cattle feed formulations, mineral nutrition, bypass protein, and stage-specific feeding protocols for dairy cattle
Proven track record in territory management, distributor handling, and dealer network development
Strong market and geography knowledge across key dairy farming belts (Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka preferred)
Exposure to market research, demand analysis, and competitive benchmarking in the livestock nutrition space
Effective communication and farmer engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical product attributes into field-level selling propositions
Comfortable to relocate to Pune and willing to travel 10-12 days a month in Field.
Good with data, sales reporting, and presentations
