Job Summary
Yashi Castings is looking for an experienced and disciplined Store In-Charge to independently manage factory stores, inventory, material receipt, issue, stock records and material traceability.
The candidate should preferably have experience in an engineering, machining, fabrication, foundry or heavy manufacturing environment and should be comfortable maintaining both physical inventory and ERP/computer-based records.
Key Responsibilities
Complete responsibility for day-to-day factory stores.
Receive and verify incoming materials against PO/challan.
Coordinate incoming material inspection with Quality.
Proper identification, tagging, location and storage of materials.
Maintain records for castings, steel/fabrication material, bought-out components, bearings, pins, bushes, fasteners, consumables, cutting tools, paints and other production items.
Issue material only against authorised requirements and maintain proper issue records.
Maintain physical stock vs system stock accuracy.
Update all receipts, issues, returns and transfers in ERP/FMS/stock system on time.
Maintain minimum/reorder levels for critical consumables and regularly alert Purchase before shortages arise.
Ensure production does not stop because an available material cannot be located or was not reported in time.
Maintain job/order-wise material traceability wherever required.
Manage rejected, returned, scrap and non-moving materials separately.
Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile differences.
Coordinate closely with *Purchase, Production, Quality, Accounts and Dispatch.
Maintain proper housekeeping, identification and systematic storage using 5S principles.
Support dispatch with packing/material verification wherever required.
Submit daily/weekly/monthly stores MIS as prescribed.
Candidate Profile
The candidate should:
Have 3–7 years of stores/inventory experience in manufacturing.
Understand GRN, material receipt, issue, return, stock transfer, challans and inventory reconciliation.
Be comfortable with computers, Excel and ERP/inventory software.
Understand engineering components and preferably be able to read basic material descriptions/specifications.
Have experience conducting physical stock audits.
Be organised, systematic and detail-oriented.
Have strong ownership and follow-up ability.
Be comfortable working on the factory floor and coordinating across departments.
Preferred background: Engineering manufacturing, CNC/machine shop, fabrication, foundry, automotive components, heavy engineering or similar industries
Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per hour
