Key Responsibilities:
- Provide round-the-clock medical care to inpatients and emergency patients.
- Perform initial patient assessments, take detailed case histories, and initiate treatment.
- Monitor and document patient progress, update treatment plans in consultation with specialists.
- Respond promptly to all emergencies, including code blue situations.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and procedures as per the consultant’s instructions.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in medical records.
- Communicate with patient families regarding condition and treatment, when appropriate.
- Ensure proper handover of patients at the start and end of each shift.
- Support the nursing and paramedical teams in clinical care and protocols.
- Ensure infection control protocols and patient safety norms are followed.
- Participate in rounds with consultants and communicate updates clearly.
- Maintain and report any critical incidents or adverse events as per protocol.
Qualifications and Skills:
- MBBS degree from a recognized university.
- Valid registration with the Medical Council.
- BLS/ACLS certification is preferred.
- 0–3 years of clinical experience (freshers may also apply).
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in shifts (rotational duty).
