Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Site Engineer (Civil) to supervise and execute civil construction, maintenance, and infrastructure works within the shipyard. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all civil works are completed according to approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.
The role may involve work related to industrial buildings, workshops, dry docks, slipways, jetties, berths, roads, drainage systems, foundations, and other shipyard infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities at the shipyard.
- Execute civil works as per approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Monitor construction and maintenance of:
- Workshops and industrial buildings
- Foundations and RCC structures
- Structural steel works
- Dry docks and slipways
- Jetties, berths, and marine infrastructure
- Roads and drainage systems
- Utility and infrastructure facilities
- Review civil drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and construction schedules.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure quality of workmanship and materials.
- Monitor RCC works including excavation, formwork, reinforcement, concreting, and curing.
- Verify levels, dimensions, alignment, and measurements at the site.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and internal departments.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports (DPR).
- Monitor manpower, machinery, materials, and site resources.
- Check measurements and assist in verification of contractor bills.
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and approved inspection requirements.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Production, and Marine departments for smooth project execution.
- Identify site issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
- Ensure all activities comply with HSE and shipyard safety regulations.
- Maintain site records, drawings, inspection reports, and project documentation.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in civil construction/site execution.
- Experience in Shipyard, Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, Port, Marine Infrastructure, Heavy Engineering, or Industrial Construction will be preferred.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of RCC and structural works.
- Knowledge of foundations, excavation, concreting, and steel structures.
- Ability to read and interpret civil and structural drawings.
- Knowledge of BOQ, quantity estimation, and measurement.
- Familiarity with QA/QC procedures.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Knowledge of MS Project / Primavera will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
