Education:
- Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10 + 2 + 3)
- Non-technical graduation in finance & accounts stream- B.Com, M.Com or similar
Must Have:
- Analytical skills, understanding the financial trends, familiarity with IFRS/GAAP, Problem solving skills, time management and pressure handling. Journal Preparation , Reconciliation , Reporting and month close activities
Good-to-Have:
- Trial Balance, P&L review & consolidation
Role Overview:
The Senior Manager – General Ledger is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end GL function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and timely month-end/year-end close processes. This role involves leading a team, driving process improvements, and partnering with stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the General Ledger function including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities with strict adherence to timelines
- Ensure compliance with GAAP / IFRS / Ind AS and internal policies
- Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Manage financial reporting and support audits (internal & external)
- Drive process standardization and automation initiatives
- Partner with cross-functional teams (AP, AR, FP&A, Tax) for accurate reporting
- Ensure SOX compliance and strong internal controls
- Mentor and develop team members, ensuring high performance
- Handle stakeholder communication and escalation management
