About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our modular interior design team. The candidate will be responsible for understanding client requirements, developing interior concepts, preparing drawings and 3D designs, and coordinating with the sales, production, and project execution teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet clients and understand their requirements, lifestyle, preferences, and budget.
- Conduct site visits and take accurate site measurements.
- Prepare detailed 2D layouts and working drawings.
- Develop 3D interior designs and realistic visualizations.
- Design modular kitchens, wardrobes, bedrooms, living rooms, and other interior spaces.
- Prepare design proposals based on client requirements and company standards.
- Select suitable materials, finishes, colours, hardware, and accessories.
- Present designs to clients and explain design concepts clearly.
- Handle design revisions based on client feedback.
- Coordinate with the Sales Team for quotation and design discussions.
- Coordinate with the Production Designer to ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing.
- Coordinate with the Project Supervisor during execution.
- Ensure approved designs are accurately implemented at the site.
- Maintain proper project-wise drawings, revisions, and design documentation.
- Follow company design standards, material specifications, and production limitations.
- Support the team in converting leads into confirmed interior projects.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of modular interior design and furniture design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience with 3D design software such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, NAADI, KOHOOM and other design software.
- Good understanding of modular kitchen and wardrobe construction.
- Knowledge of plywood, MDF/HDF, WPC, laminates, acrylic, glass, hardware, and other interior materials.
- Understanding of dimensions, ergonomics, clearances, and furniture detailing.
- Ability to read architectural drawings.
- Good presentation and client-handling skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Qualification
- Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant interior design experience preferred.
Preferred Candidate
Candidates with experience in modular interior companies, turnkey interior projects, kitchen/wardrobe design, or furniture manufacturing will be preferred.
Experience with companies such as D’Life, HomeLane, Livspace, DesignCafe, RAK Interiors, Uniwood, Bonito Designs, Cubes, or similar companies will be an advantage.

- Complete drawings within agreed timelines.

- Coordinate effectively with sales, production, and execution teams.
- Maintain high design quality and client satisfaction.
- Support the company in achieving project conversion and sales targets.

Reports To: Design / Operations Manager
Coordinates With: Sales Team, Production Designer, Project Supervisor, Production Team & Management

Ideal Candidate

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

- Can you independently prepare manufacturing-ready drawings suitable for cut list/Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation?
