Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician to perform laboratory tests, collect and process specimens, maintain laboratory equipment, and ensure accurate reporting of test results. The Lab Technician plays a vital role in supporting patient diagnosis and treatment by adhering to established laboratory protocols, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Sample Collection & Processing
- Collect blood, urine, stool, sputum, and other clinical specimens from patients.
- Ensure proper labeling, handling, transportation, and storage of samples.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis according to standard procedures.
- Follow infection control and bio-medical waste management protocols.
Laboratory Testing
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory investigations as assigned.
- Conduct hematology, biochemistry, serology, microbiology, and other diagnostic tests.
- Operate laboratory analyzers and diagnostic equipment efficiently.
- Verify and record test results accurately before submission.
Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain laboratory instruments and equipment in proper working condition.
- Perform routine calibration, cleaning, and preventive maintenance.
- Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs when necessary.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of laboratory consumables and reagents.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and registers.
- Enter patient data and test results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) or hospital software.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information and laboratory reports.
- Assist in preparing laboratory statistics and reports as required.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality assurance protocols.
- Participate in internal and external quality control programs.
- Ensure compliance with NABH, NABL, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within the laboratory.
Patient Care & Coordination
- Assist patients during sample collection and explain procedures when required.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments regarding laboratory investigations and reports.
- Handle patient queries professionally and courteously.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT) or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the relevant authority, if applicable.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Experience:
- Fresher or experienced candidates may apply.
- Prior experience in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory is preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures.
- Ability to operate laboratory equipment and analyzers.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills.

Working Conditions:
- Rotational shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays as per hospital requirements.
- Exposure to biological samples and laboratory chemicals while following safety precautions.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
