Role Summary
The Business Development Executive (BDE) will be responsible for driving institutional outreach, lead generation, relationship building, and business development activities for Val-Ed Initiatives across schools and educational institutions. The role requires a proactive professional who can identify opportunities, engage decision-makers, support the sales process, and contribute to the expansion of Val-Ed's value education and life-skills programmes across India.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead Generation & Institutional Outreach
- Identify, research, and engage prospective schools, educational institutions, and channel partners through calls, emails, referrals, networking, and field visits.
- Generate qualified leads and schedule meetings with key decision-makers including principals, trustees, school administrators, and procurement heads.
- Execute territory-wise outreach plans aligned with monthly, quarterly, and annual business development goals.
- Represent Val-Ed Initiatives at education conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and networking forums to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.
Business Development & Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing institutional clients.
- Conduct introductory presentations and communicate the value proposition of Val-Ed's programmes.
- Work closely with the Sales Manager and Academic Team to understand client requirements and support proposal development.
- Support negotiations and follow-up activities to facilitate successful deal closures.
Pipeline & Database Management
- Maintain a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities using Microsoft Excel and CRM tools.
- Track all interactions, follow-ups, meetings, and business development activities accurately.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of schools, prospects, channel partners, and institutional contacts.
- Ensure timely follow-up on leads to maximize conversion opportunities.
Market Research & Channel Partner Development
- Conduct ongoing market research to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends within the education sector.
- Map target schools and institutions across assigned territories.
- Identify and initiate engagement with potential channel partners to expand outreach and market penetration.
- Support the onboarding and relationship management of channel partners.
Sales Operations & Coordination
- Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, service agreements, and client communication documents.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation of newly acquired accounts.
- Support payment follow-ups and documentation related to closed deals.
- Maintain call logs, meeting trackers, outreach reports, and business development dashboards.
Performance Reporting
- Prepare periodic reports on lead generation, meetings conducted, pipeline status, conversion rates, and business development activities.
- Track performance against assigned targets and KPIs.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding market developments and business opportunities.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTSEducational Qualification
- Graduate degree in any discipline (Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred).
Experience
- 1–4 years of experience in Business Development, Institutional Sales, Inside Sales, or B2B Sales.
- Prior experience in the education sector will be preferred.
Communication Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to confidently engage with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
Relationship Building
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and nurture professional relationships.
Market Research
- Ability to conduct independent lead research, market mapping, and competitor analysis.
Technology Proficiency
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and CRM tools.
Travel Readiness
- Willingness to travel to schools, educational institutions, and events as required.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
