Looking for engineers who prefer to build in the lab and test in the field rather than stare at CAD files all day.
We are seeking a versatile Robotics Systems Engineer to own the end-to-end development, integration, and deployment of our autonomous robotic platforms. In this role, you will bridge the gap between mechanical design, electronics, and autonomous software. You will be responsible for ensuring our systems transition seamlessly from the lab to the field, delivering rugged, high-performance hardware capable of operating in demanding, real-world environments.
This is a highly hands-on, multidisciplinary role for an engineer who thrives on solving problems where hardware and software intersect.
Key Responsibilities
- Systems Architecture: Design, build, and integrate mechanical structures, drivetrain assemblies, power distribution, and robust communication protocols.
- Sensor & Control Integration: Select, calibrate, and integrate perception and navigation suites (LiDAR, Cameras, RADAR, GNSS, IMU, and Sonar).
- Field Deployment: Lead iterative field testing to validate vehicle performance, edge-case handling, and environmental durability.
- Cross-Functional Debugging: Diagnose and resolve complex, system-level failures spanning hardware, embedded firmware, and software layers.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with software, control, and product teams to translate autonomy algorithms into physical performance.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain system schematics, wiring diagrams, testing logs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Core Experience: 1–3 years of experience in the design and development of complex electromechanical systems or mobile robotic platforms.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in ROS/ROS2 and solid programming skills in C++ or Python.
- Hardware Design: Extensive experience with CAD software (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Autodesk) and electrical schematic design tools.
- Hands-on Capability: Proven ability to work on hardware—including soldering, wiring, power tools, mechanical fabrication, and the use of diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers).
- Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to articulate technical roadblocks clearly to diverse, cross-functional teams.
Why Join Us?
