Position: HVAC Technician
Location: Vivira Mall, OMR, Navalur
Reports To: Engineering Manager / Facility Manager
Job Summary
The HVAC Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems within the shopping mall. The role ensures a comfortable, safe, and energy-efficient environment for customers, tenants, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and servicing of HVAC equipment.
- Monitor and maintain chillers, AHUs, FCUs, cooling towers, ventilation systems, and exhaust systems.
- Diagnose and repair HVAC system faults and breakdowns.
- Ensure optimal temperature and air quality throughout the mall.
- Respond promptly to tenant and management complaints related to air conditioning and ventilation.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Monitor energy consumption and suggest efficiency improvements.
- Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs and annual maintenance contracts.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Support emergency response activities related to HVAC systems.
Required Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of HVAC maintenance experience, preferably in malls, commercial buildings, or large facilities.
- Knowledge of chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems, cooling towers, and BMS operations.
- Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of HVAC preventive maintenance procedures.
- Understanding of workplace safety standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.
Working Conditions

- Rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- On-call availability for emergency breakdowns.
Salary: Rs.30,000/-
Timing: Day/Night Shift
Pay: ₹30,000.00 per month
