We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Test Automation, API Testing, and modern automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, validating APIs, and ensuring the quality of web applications through automated testing. The candidate should have strong analytical skills, experience with CI/CD pipelines, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
Key ResponsibilitiesTest Automation
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web applications.
- Create automated test scripts using Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end automated test suites.
- Improve test coverage and automation efficiency across applications.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
API Testing
- Develop and execute automated API test cases for RESTful services.
- Validate API functionality, response codes, payloads, authentication, and performance.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.
- Integrate API automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot API defects and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
Quality Assurance
- Analyze business requirements and prepare comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Identify, log, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring quality issues.
- Ensure software quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
CI/CD & DevOps
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Support continuous testing using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment validation.
- Maintain automation execution reports and quality metrics.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and DevOps Engineers.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Mentor junior QA engineers on automation best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes.
Required SkillsTechnical Skills
- Strong experience in Test Automation Framework Development
- Expertise in Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress
- Strong experience in API Testing (REST APIs)
- Hands-on experience with Postman or REST Assured
- Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or C#
- Experience with Git version control
- CI/CD integration using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
Good to Have
- Experience with Performance Testing tools such as JMeter or k6
- Knowledge of SQL for database validation
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Cloud testing experience on Azure or AWS
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
- ISTQB Certification or equivalent is an added advantage.
