We operate a high-traffic fintech super-app. Our platform offers a comprehensive suite of BFSI services including digital lending, payments, and financial products, alongside multiple revenue streams like gaming partnerships, coupon deals, and cashback programs. We're looking to aggressively scale our monetization efforts and need someone who can turn our engaged user base into revenue through strategic partnerships and ad inventory sales.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As Business Development Manager, you will own revenue generation from our app's advertising inventory, partnership programs, and strategic alliances. This is a revenue-focused BD role where you'll identify and close deals with brands, advertisers, and strategic partners (including emerging verticals) who want access to our high-engagement user base. You'll sell banner placements, embedded links, coupon integrations, and gaming partnerships while managing existing accounts and exploring new revenue verticals. This role demands someone who thrives under pressure, delivers under tight deadlines, has monetized app traffic before, and wants ownership over driving measurable revenue growth across multiple partnership categories.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Identify and close partnership deals with brands, advertisers, merchants, and emerging verticals to monetize app traffic through banner ads, H5 links, coupon placements, affiliate programs, and strategic alliances
- Build and manage a pipeline of revenue partnerships across existing verticals (NBFC, gaming, coupons, cashback) and new opportunities (travel, lifestyle brands, emerging fintech products)
- Sell app inventory (banners, native placements, embedded links) to brands
- Negotiate commercial terms including revenue-share models, CPA/CPI structures, placement pricing, and multi-year strategic alliance agreements
- Coordinate with Product and Tech teams for partner integrations, banner placements, campaign execution, and new vertical launches
- Take over and optimize existing accounts while identifying, initiating, and closing new partnership
- Track partnership performance metrics (traffic, revenue, conversion) and provide regular reporting to leadership on deal pipeline, revenue trends, and partnership ROI
- Work with stakeholders to ensure timely invoice processing and payment reconciliation for all partners
- Stay on top of market trends in app monetization, competitive ad rates, emerging partnership opportunities, and new revenue models in consumer tech
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 4–6 years of experience in app monetization, digital advertising sales, partnerships, or business development at consumer apps (e-commerce, lending, food delivery, fintech, gaming, mobility, or digital platforms)
- Proven track record selling app inventory (banner ads, native placements, affiliate links) and closing partnership deals with brands, advertisers, and platform partners
- Experience working with high-DAU consumer apps — e-commerce, food delivery, fintech, gaming, mobility services, or coupon platforms
- Strong BD skills — you've built pipelines, closed deals, hit revenue targets, and explored new partnership categories
- Understanding of ad formats (banner, native, video, affiliate), monetization models (CPA, CPI, CPM, revenue-share), and emerging revenue streams
- Hands-on executor comfortable managing both new business development and existing partner relationships across multiple verticals
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Tech, Finance, and Marketing teams to drive partner integrations and new vertical launches
- Results-driven mindset — comfortable tracking metrics, reporting on performance, and optimizing for revenue growth
GOOD TO HAVE
- Experience monetizing fintech or payments apps specifically
- Network in the digital advertising, brand partnerships, affiliate marketing
- Understanding of programmatic advertising, waterfall bidding, or ad mediation platforms
- Experience launching or scaling gaming partnerships, coupon/cashback platforms, merchant loyalty programs, or strategic alliance deals
- Familiarity with ad-tech tools, campaign tracking dashboards, and partnership performance analytics
Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
