Core Responsibilities
- Sourcing & Vendor Development: Identify and build a network of reliable suppliers for fabrics, zippers, buttons, threads, and packaging materials.
- Price Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate competitive rates, payment terms, and delivery schedules to maximize profit margins.
- Order Processing & Tracking: Generate Purchase Orders (POs), manage delivery timelines, and ensure materials arrive in time for production to prevent delays.
- Quality & Compliance: Coordinate with internal quality control teams to ensure all materials meet the exact buyer's specifications and safety standards.
- Inventory Management: Monitor raw material stock levels, avoiding both overstocking and production shortages.
- Cross-departmental Coordination: Work closely with merchandising, sampling, production, and warehouse teams to align purchasing with manufacturing needs.
- Billing & Accounts: Validate supplier invoices and coordinate with the finance department to process timely payments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of fabric types (Denim), textile manufacturing, and garment accessories.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for inventory tracking and MIS reporting.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to compare supplier costs, create comparative statements, and forecast future material requirements.
- Education & Experience: Typically a Diploma or Bachelor's degree Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration, combined with 3-5 years of procurement experience in a garment export house or manufacturing unit.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
