The Plantation supervisor is responsible for overseeing end-to-end plantation operations, ensuring optimal productivity, quality output, cost efficiency, and sustainable agricultural practices. The role involves managing field activities, workforce planning, and coordinating with support functions like HR, logistics, and processing units.
- Plan and supervise all field operations including planting, pruning, irrigation, fertilization, and harvesting
- Implement best agronomic practices to improve output and quality
- Manage and allocate field workforce efficiently for daily operations
- Coordinate with HR/Admin for labor availability (permanent & seasonal workers)
- Oversees planting, irrigation, fertilization, and harvesting of cardamom crops.
- Supervises field workers and assigns daily tasks.
- Monitors crop health and manages pest and disease control.
- Maintains plantation records, including labor, inputs, and yields.
- Ensures compliance with safety and agricultural best practices.
- Coordinates post-harvest handling, drying, storage, and quality control.
- Reports plantation performance to management.
Location: Idukki - Vandenmedu
Cardamom plantation experience or knowledge is mandatory
