Global Category Leader ( I.T.) :
The Global Category Leader – IT Services supports the execution of global category strategies for assigned IT sub-categories (e.g., IT services, software, hardware, cloud, telco). This role works closely with the Global Category Manager, cross‑functional stakeholders, and suppliers to deliver sourcing initiatives, commercial negotiations, supplier performance management, and continuous improvement.
The Category Leader plays a key role in translating category strategies into actionable sourcing plans, leading medium‑complexity sourcing events, and managing supplier relationships to achieve quality, cost, delivery, service, and risk objectives.
Key Responsibilities :

Support the development and execution of global category strategies and sourcing plans for assigned IT sub‑categories

Lead execution of sourcing projects including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and supplier evaluations

Manage commercial and contractual negotiations for assigned spend areas, with guidance from the Global Category Manager as required

Serve as a primary point of contact for suppliers on operational, commercial, and performance‑related topics

Ensure supplier KPIs, scorecards, and performance reviews are in place and actively managed

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business, technical, and service requirements to support sourcing and negotiations

Identify cost reduction, value creation, and risk mitigation opportunities across assigned categories

Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance related to cost, service, delivery, quality, and innovation

Support contract lifecycle activities including renewals, amendments, compliance monitoring, and issue resolution

Contribute to annual operating plans and strategic objectives for the category

Maintain awareness of market trends, supplier capabilities, and regional/global market conditions

Represent supplier and category interests internally to relevant business and functional stakeholders
Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, or related discipline

5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or supply chain management

Prior experience in a similar global role sourcing IT Services, Software, Hardware, Network, Telco and/or Cloud services

Solid understanding of sourcing methodologies, supplier negotiation, and commercial agreements

Experience participating in or leading contract drafting and negotiations (including review of redlines)

Strong analytical skills, including cost analysis, TCO modeling, and business case development

Ability to manage multiple sourcing initiatives in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment

Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and communication skills

Self‑starter with a collaborative mindset and problem‑solving orientation
Bonus:

Supply chain or procurement certification (e.g., CIPS, IIPMM)

Experience with procurement tools such as Ariba
