The function aims
to ensure supplier quality through technical inspections, process evaluations, and document reviews.
Main tasks
- Conducting technical inspections and acceptance tests at the supplier's site
- Control and monitoring of manufacturing processes, welding, turning, painting, etc. directly at the supplier's site.
- Monitoring compliance with specifications, drawings and quality requirements
- Review of quality documents during on-site inspection (certificates, test reports, welding documentation, NDT reports)
- Identifying deviations and tracking corrective actions
- Preparation of structured inspection and acceptance reports in English
- Close collaboration with engineering, purchasing and quality in Switzerland
- Support in supplier qualification and development
- Close cooperation with local strategic purchasing in Bhopal
Requirements (mandatory)
- 510 years of professional experience in the field of supplier quality / manufacturing quality
- Solid knowledge of welding including its requirements (WPQR, WPQ, WPS) and mechanical processing
- Knowledge of NDT methods (e.g., VT, PT, MT, UT)
- Good understanding of standards, EN ISO and ASME standards.
- Excellent understanding of complex technical drawings and their content requirements (tolerances, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of document review and technical specifications
- Excellent written and spoken English skills; German is an advantage.
- Very high willingness to travel to supplier locations mostly in Bhopal
