Job Summary:
The Project Engineer – PEB Erection & Fabrication is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the erection and fabrication of Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) structures. The role ensures that projects are executed safely, within budget, on schedule, and in accordance with quality standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and monitor PEB erection and structural steel fabrication activities.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review structural drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection plans before execution.
- Supervise site activities, including structural steel erection, roofing, cladding, and finishing works.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Prepare project schedules, manpower plans, and material requirements.
- Monitor project progress and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Coordinate inspections, quality checks, and client approvals.
- Identify project risks and resolve technical and site-related issues.
- Monitor material consumption, equipment utilization, and project costs.
- Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
- Maintain project documentation, including work progress, inspection reports, and handover documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
- 3–8 years of experience in PEB erection, structural steel fabrication, or industrial construction projects.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of PEB systems, structural steel fabrication, and erection techniques.
- Ability to interpret structural and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of welding, bolting, lifting, and erection methodologies.
- Familiarity with project planning and scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera is an advantage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of quality standards and construction safety practices.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in industrial buildings, warehouses, factories, logistics parks, or commercial PEB projects.
- Experience in coordinating with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of site safety regulations, lifting plans, and quality control procedures.
