We are seeking a Mainframe Developer with 3–5 years of experience to support development and maintenance of enterprise applications running on mainframe systems. The candidate will be responsible for coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining mainframe programs while ensuring system reliability and performance.
Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical design and program specifications.
Perform coding, unit testing, debugging, and implementation of applications.
Write and modify JCL for batch processing jobs.
Work with DB2 databases for data manipulation and query development.
Perform program testing, debugging, and defect resolution.
Support production issues and perform root cause analysis.
Participate in code reviews and documentation.
Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and other development teams.
Strong knowledge of COBOL programming.
Experience with JCL (Job Control Language).
Hands-on experience with DB2 or other mainframe databases.
Understanding of CICS (Customer Information Control System).
Familiarity with VSAM datasets.
Knowledge of mainframe development tools such as TSO/ISPF.
Understanding of SDLC and development best practices.
