Job Summary
The Watchman is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the school premises, students, staff, visitors, and property. The Watchman monitors entry and exit points, safeguards school assets, and maintains a secure environment during and after school hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control entry and exit of students, staff, visitors, and vehicles.
- Ensure the safety and security of the school campus at all times.
- Open and close the school premises as per the prescribed schedule.
- Patrol the campus regularly and report any suspicious activity or security concerns.
- Maintain a visitor register and verify the identity of visitors.
- Prevent unauthorized entry into the school premises.
- Safeguard school property and report any damage, theft, or emergencies immediately.
- Assist during school events, emergencies, and evacuation procedures.
- Ensure gates, doors, windows, and other access points are properly secured.
- Maintain discipline and follow all safety and security procedures as instructed by the school administration.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10th Standard pass or equivalent.
- Basic reading and writing skills.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Watchman or Security Guard is preferred.
Skills
- Alertness and vigilance.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of safety and emergency procedures.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
- Honesty, responsibility, and punctuality.
