Job Purpose
We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, preferably in the Fasteners / Automotive Components industry, to ensure maximum machine availability and minimum downtime across Cold Forging, Threading, Heat Treatment (HT) and Surface Treatment (ST) operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of production machinery and utility equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot cold forging/header machines, thread rolling/threading machines, heat treatment furnaces and surface-treatment equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical problems related to bearings, gears, shafts, couplings, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, lubrication systems and drive mechanisms.
- Attend machine breakdowns and ensure quick identification and rectification of mechanical faults to minimize production downtime.
- Perform regular inspection of machine components and identify potential failures before breakdown.
- Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, regulators and pipelines.
- Maintain HT furnace mechanical systems, including conveyor/handling systems, fans, chains, rollers and associated mechanical assemblies.
- Support maintenance of ST/plating equipment, including pumps, agitators, tanks, conveyors, filtration systems and mechanical drives.
- Carry out machine alignment, leveling, assembly, dismantling and installation activities.
- Ensure proper lubrication of machines and maintain lubrication schedules.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules and maintain PM checklists and maintenance records.
- Maintain adequate stock of critical mechanical spares and coordinate with Purchase for timely availability.
- Coordinate with Production, Tool Room and Electrical Maintenance teams for effective machine troubleshooting.
- Support new machine installation, commissioning, modification and improvement projects.
- Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
- Maintain housekeeping and ensure compliance with maintenance and industrial safety procedures.
Required Qualification & Skills
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering.
- 3–4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Fasteners / Automotive Components industry experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience with cold forging/header and thread rolling/threading machines.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication and mechanical transmission systems.
- Experience with HT furnace and ST/plating equipment maintenance is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of bearings, gears, shafts, couplings, chains, belts and machine alignment.
- Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
- Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance, Breakdown Maintenance, RCA, MTBF and MTTR.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts and attend emergency breakdowns when required.

Ideal Candidate
A hands-on Mechanical Maintenance professional with 3–4 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the fasteners industry, with practical knowledge of Cold Forging, Threading, Heat Treatment and Surface Treatment equipment, capable of reducing breakdowns and maintaining high machine availability.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
