Job Summary:
The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting industrial processes to improve efficiency, product quality, safety, and environmental compliance. The role includes preparing process calculations, equipment sizing, process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, technical documentation, and providing support during project execution and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize industrial processes based on client requirements.
- Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and process descriptions.
- Perform mass and energy balance calculations.
- Size process equipment such as pumps, tanks, heat exchangers, reactors, blowers, filters, and pipelines.
- Prepare technical specifications and equipment datasheets.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Civil engineering teams.
- Review vendor quotations and technical documents.
- Support procurement by evaluating equipment specifications.
- Participate in plant commissioning, trial runs, and performance testing.
- Identify process improvements to reduce operating costs and increase efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
- Prepare project documentation, SOPs, and operating manuals.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and recommend corrective actions.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of process engineering principles.
- Equipment sizing and hydraulic calculations.
- AutoCAD for PFDs and P&IDs.
- Microsoft Excel and technical report preparation.
- Understanding of pumps, valves, piping, reactors, tanks, and instrumentation.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork.
Preferred Knowledge:
- Water Treatment Plant (WTP), ETP, STP, RO, UF, MBR, MBBR, ZLD systems.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
