Job Summary:
The Surveyor is responsible for conducting land and construction surveys, establishing project control points, verifying dimensions, and ensuring that all construction activities are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct topographical, route, and construction surveys at project sites.
- Establish and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, and reference lines.
- Set out project alignments, coordinates, levels, and structures as per approved drawings.
- Verify dimensions, elevations, and locations before and during construction activities.
- Operate and maintain surveying instruments such as Total Station, Auto Level, DGPS, and GPS equipment.
- Prepare survey reports, field notes, sketches, and measurement records.
- Coordinate with project engineers and site teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
- Perform quantity calculations and assist in preparation of as-built drawings.
- Monitor and record project progress related to survey activities.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Identify discrepancies in drawings or site conditions and report them to the Project Manager.
- Maintain proper calibration and upkeep of surveying equipment.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Total Station, AutoCAD, GPS/DGPS, and surveying software.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Good analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
