Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Deputy Project Manager / Geotechnical Engineer to oversee geotechnical activities and support overall project execution for infrastructure and construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for soil investigation, foundation analysis, site supervision, project coordination, quality control, and ensuring timely completion of works as per project specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, execution, and monitoring of construction activities.
- Conduct and supervise geotechnical investigations including soil testing, borehole logging, and site analysis.
- Review soil reports and recommend suitable foundation systems and ground improvement techniques.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and site engineers for smooth project execution.
- Ensure project work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor project schedules, manpower, machinery, and material requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, progress reports, and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at site.
- Verify billing quantities and support planning and cost-control activities.
- Identify technical issues and provide engineering solutions during execution.
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Attend project meetings and provide technical updates to management.
- Support tendering and estimation activities related to geotechnical and civil works.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Geotechnical Engineering.
- Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering will be preferred.
Experience
- 10 years of experience in construction, infrastructure, highways, bridges, mining, or foundation projects.
- Experience in geotechnical investigation and project management is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and construction practices.
- Familiarity with geotechnical testing standards and field investigation methods.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, and MS Office.
- Ability to manage multiple site activities effectively.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
