Key Responsibilities
Journal and Portfolio Management
- Independently manage the complete portfolio of NOLEGEIN Management journals and take journal-wise ownership of content, editorial development, peer review, quality, schedules, and publication targets.
- Develop a strong understanding of the aims, scope, subject coverage, publication schedule, and target academic community of every assigned journal.
- Maintain a consistent and relevant manuscript pipeline for every journal in the portfolio.
- Prepare journal-wise publication plans, monitor manuscript progress, and ensure the timely release of regular and special issues.
- Map every acquired paper to the most suitable journal and align portfolio development with publication-quality standards and STM Journals’ objectives.
National Content Acquisition
- Conduct independent research to identify suitable researchers, professors, business-school faculty, economists, finance specialists, HR professionals, marketing scholars, operations and supply-chain experts, entrepreneurs, legal academicians, IT-management researchers, and leadership specialists across India.
- Commission original research articles, review papers, case studies, short communications, conceptual papers, and other scholarly papers relevant to the assigned journal scopes.
- Invite researchers to submit papers in entrepreneurship, finance, consumer behaviour, market research, performance management, advertising, branding, operations, business ethics, CSR, IT management, MIS, business law, HR, global marketing, supply chain, organisational behaviour, risk, leadership, and strategy.
- Build professional relationships with universities, business schools, IIMs, management institutes, commerce colleges, research centres, professional bodies, and management associations across India.
- Maintain regular communication and follow-up with prospective authors across India.
- Ensure that no author is guaranteed acceptance or publication without proper editorial evaluation and peer review.
Journal-Specific Editorial Board and Reviewer Development
- Identify, evaluate, and invite qualified academicians from India to serve as:
- Editors-in-Chief
- Associate Editors
- Editorial Board Members
- Peer Reviewers
- Advisory Board Members
- Verify the qualifications, institutional affiliations, publication records, and journal-specific management expertise of prospective editorial members.
- Develop strong academic networks across Indian universities, business schools, IIMs, management institutes, commerce departments, law schools, professional bodies, industry associations, and subject-specific management communities.
- Maintain continuous professional communication with editors, reviewers, and academic stakeholders.
Management Manuscript Evaluation
- Conduct the initial evaluation of submitted manuscripts for:
- Relevance to journal scope
- Subject suitability
- Completeness
- Originality
- Formatting compliance
- Language quality
- Required author documentation
- Verify journal fit, academic relevance, practical contribution, submission completeness, and ethical requirements before initiating peer review.
- Identify incomplete, unsuitable, duplicate, or potentially unethical submissions and escalate them appropriately.
Peer-Review and Editorial Coordination
- Submit suitable manuscripts to the appropriate editorial and peer-review workflow.
- Identify and assign qualified reviewers based on manuscript subject and journal-specific management-domain expertise.
- Coordinate communication among authors, reviewers, editors, and internal publication teams.
- Follow up on pending reviews, reviewer recommendations, author revisions, and editorial decisions.
- Communicate revision, rejection, or acceptance decisions professionally to authors.
- Maintain confidentiality of manuscripts, reviewer identities, and editorial decisions.
- Monitor peer-review timelines and resolve delays through regular follow-up.
Author Coordination
- Guide authors from across India regarding manuscript preparation, submission requirements, formatting, declarations, and publication procedures.
- Respond to author queries regarding manuscript status, review progress, revisions, documentation, and publication timelines.
- Coordinate plagiarism checks, reviewer comments, revised submissions, and final manuscript approval.
- Obtain copyright-transfer forms, author declarations, conflict-of-interest statements, and other required documents.
- Maintain professional communication with authors and academic stakeholders from different Indian states, institutions, subject areas, and professional backgrounds.
Acceptance and Publication Coordination
- Coordinate final editorial decisions after the completion of the peer-review process.
- Communicate acceptance requirements and pending documentation to authors.
- Coordinate with copyediting, proofreading, quality-control, production, and publication teams.
- Track accepted manuscripts until final online or issue publication.
- Review publication records and ensure that approved corrections are incorporated.
- Share proofs, publication updates, article links, issue details, and relevant documentation with authors.
Academic Research and Database Management
- Use academic platforms such as Google Scholar, ORCID, Scopus, Web of Science, SSRN, RePEc, VIDWAN, Shodhganga, LinkedIn, university websites, and Indian management-institution directories and professional-association websites to identify researchers.
- Create and maintain verified databases of Indian authors, reviewers, editors, institutions, societies, and research groups.
- Record invitations, responses, submissions, reviews, revisions, acceptances, and publication status.
- Remove duplicate, irrelevant, outdated, or unverified records.
- Maintain accurate journal-wise dashboards, trackers, and academic-outreach reports.
Publication Ethics and Quality Assurance
- Follow applicable peer-review policies, anti-plagiarism procedures, research-integrity standards, and international publication-ethics guidelines.
- Identify possible plagiarism, duplicate submissions, authorship concerns, conflicts of interest, fabricated information, or unethical publication practices.
- Escalate suspected research or publication misconduct to senior editorial management.
- Ensure that editorial decisions remain independent, evidence-based, and quality-focused.
- Maintain transparent, respectful, and confidential communication with all stakeholders.
Reporting and Performance Management
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on:
- Researchers identified
- Author invitations sent
- Responses received
- Manuscripts acquired
- Reviewers and editors onboarded
- Reviews completed
- Papers accepted
- Papers published
- Monitor the journal-wise manuscript pipeline, editorial-board activity, peer-review progress, publication schedule, and overall performance of the complete portfolio.
- Achieve assigned objectives related to journal-wise content acquisition, editorial-board development, peer-review completion, portfolio growth, and timely publication.
- Identify journal-development challenges and recommend corrective actions.
- Escalate delayed reviews, author concerns, ethical issues, and publication risks to the reporting manager.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Operations, Entrepreneurship, or a related discipline.
- Candidates with an MBA, M.Com., M.A. in Economics, PGDM, Ph.D., or an equivalent management qualification will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of academic research and scholarly communication.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

- 1–2 years of experience in journal publishing, academic publishing, management editorial operations, or research outreach.
- Experience in independently managing management, business, commerce, economics, or related academic journals and subject-specific publication portfolios.
- Familiarity with manuscript-submission and peer-review management systems.
- Experience in journal-wise author acquisition, reviewer onboarding, editorial-board development, and manuscript-pipeline management.
- Ability to understand management and business research papers and correctly match them with the scope of the relevant NOLEGEIN journal.
- Confidence in communicating with professors, management researchers, business-school faculty, industry experts, and institutional representatives from universities, business schools, management institutes, commerce colleges, research centres, and professional associations across India.
- Ability to manage multiple journals, manuscripts, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a notice period of up to 15 days will be preferred.
