Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Cambridge Economics Teacher to teach students in the Cambridge International curriculum (IGCSE, AS & A Level). The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to inspire students to develop analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in Economics.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Economics to students following the Cambridge IGCSE and AS & A Level curriculum.
- Prepare detailed lesson plans aligned with Cambridge International standards and learning outcomes.
- Deliver engaging, student-centered lessons using interactive teaching methodologies.
- Develop students' understanding of microeconomics, macroeconomics, international trade, development economics, and economic concepts.
- Prepare students for Cambridge examinations through regular assessments, mock exams, and revision sessions.
- Design assignments, projects, quizzes, and examinations that assess conceptual understanding.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Integrate real-world economic issues, current affairs, and case studies into classroom teaching.
- Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and assessment reports.
- Participate in curriculum planning, departmental meetings, and school activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Economics (M.A./M.Sc. Economics) or equivalent.
- B.Ed. or recognized teaching qualification is preferred.
- Cambridge International professional development certification is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in Cambridge IGCSE and AS & A Level Economics.
- Experience in handling Cambridge board examinations and assessment practices.
- Proven record of producing excellent student academic results.
Preferred Attributes
- Familiarity with Cambridge Checkpoint, IGCSE, and AS & A Level assessment standards.
- Ability to conduct enrichment activities such as Economics Clubs, debates, Model United Nations (MUN), business simulations, and entrepreneurship initiatives.
- Passion for integrating current global economic developments into classroom discussions.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
