Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, result-oriented, and dynamic Centre Head to oversee the complete operations, administration, and compliance of our Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) skill development training centre.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end centre management—ranging from candidate mobilization and high-quality training delivery to successful placements, documentation, and strict adherence to DDU-GKY Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities1. Centre Operations & Administration
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the training centre, including infrastructure management, IT setup, and hostel administration (if residential).
- Ensure a safe, clean, and highly disciplined learning environment for trainees.
- Manage procurement of training materials, uniform distribution, and daily biometric attendance tracking.
2. Compliance & SOP Adherence
- Ensure 100% compliance with DDU-GKY SOP guidelines and specifications set by the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) and State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs).
- Maintain all mandatory registers, physical documentation, and student files as required for audits.
- Facilitate periodic audits, inspections, and visits from government officials (SRLM/NABCONS/NIRD).
3. Training & Academic Management
- Supervise trainers and ensure they follow the designated curriculum, lesson plans, and timeline.
- Ensure timely assessments (both internal and third-party assessments) and certification for trainees.
4. Mobilization & Placement Coordination
- Guide and monitor the mobilization team to recruit eligible rural youth from targeted blocks.
- Coordinate closely with the placement team to organize campus drives, secure job tie-ups, and ensure targeted placement percentages are met.
- Monitor post-placement tracking and documentation for successfully placed candidates.
5. Stakeholder Liaison & Reporting
- Act as the primary point of contact for State Rural Livelihood Missions (SRLMs) and other government agencies.
- Maintain and update the project management portal (MIS / Kaushal Pragati / ERP) with daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Graduate or Post-Graduate in any discipline (MSW, or equivalent is highly preferred).
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in the skill development sector, with at least 2+ years of direct experience as a Centre Head in a DDU-GKY project.
- SOP Knowledge: Thorough understanding of DDU-GKY guidelines, SOPs, documentation requirements, and portal updating.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (local language proficiency is a must).
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and utilizing web-based MIS portals.
