Summary:
As a Mechanical Engineering Practitioner, you will design, analyze, and build 3D Harness routing ,structures, machines, devices, systems, and mechanical processes. A strategic aerospace engineering leader specializing in rotary wing platforms, with a strong track record in driving technical delivery, innovation, and client satisfaction. Experienced in shaping engineering processes, delivery governance, and team capability development. Proven ability to influence design and compliance strategies through direct engagement with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and regulatory bodies. Passionate about digital transformation, with a focus on advancing MBSE, MBD, and digital continuity across the product lifecycle.
Roles & Responsibilities:
You will join the Aerospace Engineering team, contributing across the full engineering lifecycle—from initial concept and design end-to-end (E2E) responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include the design of 3D Harness routing and secondary structural Brackets, assemblies, and system installations.
Create and manage digital models of harness layouts, incorporating brackets, supports, and installation features to meet engineering standards.
Apply client standard wiring harness design principles and criteria to ensure compliance, manufacturability, and maintainability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate routing paths, resolve spatial conflicts, and optimize harness placement for performance and accessibility.
Take full ownership of routing tasks, delivering high-quality solutions with minimal supervision while adhering to program timelines and technical requirements.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Develop and validate service bulletin Preparation Dossier and SAMM file.
Define and deliver engineering definition for Close-to-Known modifications, including product structure impacts (MSI, ESI, Structure, Equipment).
Develop modification proposal intent box drafts per sub-ATA, providing structured PRE/POST engineering descriptions for retrofit solutions.
Develop Embodiment Instruction Documents (EIDs) for retrofit.
Execute eDRS-based engineering activities for service bulletin preparation, including configuration validation, PRE/POST solution definition, and dataset completion.
Interpret engineering design data (FD, wiring, 2D/3D models) and translate into structured.
Support service bulletin production and embodiment activities, including validation, stakeholder coordination, and technical query resolution.
Perform technical approval and signatory role for system-level engineering datasets (DDS) ensuring compliance with client standards and SB requirements.
Execute independent validation of design data (FD, ePD, 2D/3D DDS), ensuring configuration consistency and completeness
Familiar with ATA chapters and technical documentation standards such as SIDP and TDD.
Proficient in the design and development of electrical harness systems, including both design and installation phases.
Develop complete electrical retrofit design solutions (2D, 3D, Full 3D) including DS, PS, DMU models, and detailed drawing packages.
Develop 2D/3D electrical equipment installation design solutions, including DS, PS, DMU models, and detailed drawing packages.
Execute end-to-end SB Preparation activities, including engineering data collection, configuration analysis, and dossier creation in compliance with Client standards.
Hands-on experience with CATIA V5 Electrical module.
well versed with client specific tools (VPM / Trend / APSNG / TAKSY / GILDA etc)
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have a 5 to 8 years of practical experience Electrical Harness Design & Electrical Harness Installation
- B Tech/M Tech in Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering is required
- 15 years full time education
- Must have skills : service bulletin creation in aerospace
- Minimum 8+ year(s) of experience is required
