About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Head – Strategic Alliances & Joint Ventures to lead the identification, structuring, negotiation and execution of high-value strategic partnerships and Joint Ventures (JVs).
The role will focus on opportunities across Government & Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Banking & Financial Institutions, and Corporate/International Partners, with responsibility for driving business growth through strategic alliances, partnerships and JVs.
The ideal candidate will combine strong commercial, financial, negotiation, stakeholder management and governance capabilities, with the ability to work effectively with senior government officials, PSU leadership, financial institutions, corporate leadership and international partners.
Key Responsibilities1. Government & PSU Partnerships
- Identify, evaluate and structure strategic JVs and partnerships with PSUs and government entities.
- Lead Public-Private Partnership (PPP), Request for Proposal (RFP), tender and concession-related initiatives.
- Manage government stakeholders, approvals and regulatory coordination.
- Build and maintain strong institutional relationships.
2. Banking & Financial Institution Alliances
- Develop strategic partnerships with public and private sector banks and financial institutions.
- Evaluate opportunities involving co-lending, financial infrastructure, asset management and related platforms.
- Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Risk and Compliance teams.
- Develop appropriate commercial, risk-sharing and governance frameworks.
3. Corporate Strategic Alliances & JVs
- Identify and evaluate domestic and international strategic partners.
- Lead commercial negotiations, business evaluation and financial feasibility assessments.
- Manage the complete JV lifecycle from opportunity identification through agreement closure and implementation.
- Establish governance structures, board mechanisms, performance metrics and exit strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Chinese and other international business partners.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- MBA / Master’s in Finance / Corporate Law or equivalent qualification.
- 15+ years of relevant experience in Strategic Alliances, Corporate Development, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Investment Banking, Business Development or JV Management.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating and closing strategic partnerships, JVs or high-value transactions.
- Strong understanding of corporate law, commercial contracts, PPP frameworks, government procurement and applicable financial-sector regulations.
- Experience working with senior government officials, PSUs, banks, financial institutions and corporate leadership.
- Fluent English and Mandarin Chinese communication skills are mandatory.
- Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with Chinese business partners and international stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

Compensation
₹25–30 LPA CTC, depending on experience, qualifications and relevant industry track record.
Exceptional candidates with a strong and proven track record in high-value JVs, strategic alliances, M&A, banking partnerships, Government/PSU transactions or China–India business development may be considered based on their experience and suitability for the role.
