Job Description:
The Preorder executive supports the sales and design process by analysing product requirements, esmating costs, assessing inventory, and preparing accurate proposals before orders are placed. This role ensures alignment between customer needs, technical specifications, and internal capabilities, while minimizing risks and delays through cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure ligh ng products meet technical, performance, and design standards.
2. Collaborate with design team on custom or complex product specifications.
3. Analyze BOQs (Bill of Quantities) to determine accurate cost structures.
4. Prepare quotes based on specs, lead times, and discounts.
5. Include shipping and installation on costs in preorder pricing.
6. Check inventory levels and forecast availability for upcoming orders.
7. Coordinate with supply chain to confirm lead times and material readiness.
8. Work with sales team to tailor proposals to meet customer needs.
9. Align product choices with design and architectural requirements.
10. Prepare detailed proposals with specs, pricing, and timelines.
11. Maintain logs for purchase orders, invoices, approvals, and inspection on reports.
12. Identify risks like shortages, delays, or spec mismatches early.
13. Recommend product alternatives when issues arise.
14. Use ERP (SAP B1) systems to manage preorder data and reporting.
15. Ensure data accuracy in product details and codes.
16. Coordinate with all departments involved in the preorder process.
17. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on preorder progress and issues.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administrative on, commerce, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in a commercial or customer service role within a sales environment.
Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
Excellent communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
Proficiency in tools like Excel, ERP software (e.g., SAP B1), and lighting configuration tools will be added advantage.
Enthusiasm to learn about lighting technology (e.g., LED specs, color temperature, dimming protocols etc.)
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
