Position Overview
We are seeking a fluent Bengali (Bangla) Interpreter and Medical Tourism Coordinator to support patients from Bangladesh throughout their medical treatment journey in India. The candidate will act as a bridge between patients, doctors, hospitals, and support teams by providing accurate interpretation and translation services while ensuring a smooth patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret conversations between Bangladeshi patients and healthcare providers in Bengali (Bangla), Hindi, and English.
- Assist international patients with medical consultations, admissions, discharge procedures, and follow-up appointments.
- Translate medical reports, treatment plans, discharge summaries, and other healthcare documents.
- Coordinate with hospitals, doctors, and diagnostic centers for patient appointments and treatment schedules.
- Handle patient inquiries via phone, WhatsApp, email, and social media.
- Support patients with travel arrangements, accommodation, airport pickup, and local assistance.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and treatment progress.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Bangladeshi patients and referral partners.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Native or Fluent Bengali (Bangla) Speaker.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 6 Months experience in Medical Tourism, Healthcare Coordination, Translation, Customer Service, or International Patient Services.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple patients simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office, WhatsApp Business, CRM software, and email communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Bangladeshi patients.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
- Previous experience in hospitals, medical tourism companies, or interpretation services is highly preferred. Medical interpreters are commonly expected to understand healthcare terminology and facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
