Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Automation Head for our Plastic Injection Moulding Plant at Umbergaon. The candidate will be responsible for leading automation initiatives, improving manufacturing efficiency, implementing robotics and Industry 4.0 solutions, reducing downtime, and optimizing production processes across injection moulding operations.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in industrial automation, robotics, PLC/SCADA systems, injection moulding process optimization, and smart factory implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead automation projects for injection moulding machines and auxiliary systems.
- Implement robotics, conveyors, vision systems, EOAT, and automated material handling systems.
- Improve OEE, cycle time, productivity, and machine utilization.
- Develop and maintain PLC, HMI, SCADA, and IIoT systems.
- Drive Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing initiatives.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, and tooling teams.
- Troubleshoot automation and process-related issues.
- Monitor machine performance and reduce breakdowns through preventive maintenance.
- Implement process improvements for rejection reduction and cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Manage automation vendors, machine suppliers, and AMC activities.
- Train production and maintenance teams on automation systems.
- Support new machine installation, commissioning, and validation activities.
