Housekeeping Supervisor
oversees a facility’s cleaning staff, ensuring that all rooms, common areas, and exterior spaces meet strict sanitation and aesthetic standards. They are responsible for training team members, managing daily shift schedules, conducting quality control inspections, and tracking inventory for supplies.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff Management: Create daily and weekly work schedules, assign specific cleaning sections or tasks, and provide ongoing training for new and existing housekeepers. [
- Quality Inspections: Conduct routine walkthroughs and room inspections to ensure standards for cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction are consistently met. [1, 2]
- Inventory Control: Monitor the availability of cleaning supplies, chemicals, linens, and equipment. Submit supply requisitions and track deliveries to prevent shortages.
- Guest Services: Address guest complaints regarding housekeeping services, promptly respond to special requests, and oversee lost-and-found protocols.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Communicate closely with the Maintenance department to report broken fixtures, and with the Front Desk to coordinate priority room turnovers.
- Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere strictly to health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including the proper use of protective equipment and chemical handling.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Typically, 2+ years of prior experience as a professional housekeeper, with proven leadership or shift-lead responsibilities.
- Leadership Skills: The ability to motivate staff, resolve team conflicts, and manage performance.
- Time Management: Strong organizational capabilities to ensure room turnovers and deep-cleaning projects are completed efficiently.
- Physical Stamina: Capacity to stand, walk, and occasionally assist with heavy lifting or hands-on cleaning during peak periods.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
