About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Production Designer with a strong background in the modular furniture industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate production and fabrication drawings, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical support throughout the manufacturing and installation process. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and proficiency in AutoCAD to ensure efficient project execution and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed shop drawings, production drawings, and fabrication drawings for modular furniture, including bathroom vanities, wardrobes, cabinetry, modular beds, and related products.
- Develop precise technical drawings in AutoCAD based on architectural layouts, interior design drawings, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with the Design, Production, Procurement, and Project Execution teams to facilitate seamless project delivery.
- Review, update, and revise drawings in accordance with client requirements, design modifications, and site conditions.
- Provide technical guidance and drawing support to the production and installation teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all drawings comply with approved project specifications, manufacturing standards, and internal quality requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation, drawing revisions, and version control in accordance with company procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in the Modular Furniture, Joinery, Woodworking, or Furniture Manufacturing industry.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Working knowledge of SketchUp, SolidWorks, or other 3D design software will be an added advantage.
- Sound understanding of shop drawings, production drawings, fabrication detailing, and furniture manufacturing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting project deadlines.
Preferred Candidate
- Prior experience in a modular furniture manufacturing environment.
- Immediate joiners will be given preference.
