Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated IPTV Operator to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot IPTV infrastructure in a 24×7 production environment. The ideal candidate should have fundamental networking knowledge, Linux server administration skills, and the ability to identify and resolve production issues with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor IPTV services and infrastructure on a 24×7 rotational shift (Morning, Afternoon, and Night).
- Perform continuous monitoring of IPTV channels, streaming servers, encoders, transcoders, packagers, CDN, and related services.
- Troubleshoot live production issues and restore services within the defined SLA.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for service interruptions and recurring incidents.
- Monitor Linux servers and perform basic Linux administration tasks.
- Manage IPTV servers hosted in the data center, including health checks and service verification.
- Monitor CPU, Memory, Disk, Network, GPU, and application performance.
- Verify multicast/unicast streams, channel availability, and stream quality.
- Coordinate with internal teams, broadcasters, and vendors to resolve production issues.
- Escalate critical incidents following the defined escalation matrix.
- Maintain incident logs, shift handover reports, and operational documentation.
- Ensure maximum service availability and minimize downtime.
Required Skills
- Fundamental knowledge of Computer Networking.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, Multicast, VLAN, Switching, Routing, DNS, DHCP, and HTTP.
- Basic Linux administration (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL).
- Experience with Linux commands, system services, logs, networking commands, and process management.
- Knowledge of IPTV architecture and workflow.
- Understanding of MPEG-TS, UDP, SRT, HLS, RTMP, RTP, and multicast streaming.
- Familiarity with FFmpeg, FFplay, or similar media streaming tools.
- Knowledge of server and data center operations.
- Ability to analyze logs and identify production issues quickly.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- 0–1 years of experience in IPTV, Broadcast, NOC, Network Operations, or Linux Administration.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, or **similar is an advantage.**
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and virtualization is a plus.
Shift Details
- 24×7 rotational shifts (Morning, Afternoon, and Night).
- Weekend and holiday support as per business requirements.
Pay: ₹240,000.00 per year
