Oil & Gas Offshore / Onshore Engineering Consultancy
Experience: 5–7 years’ experience in Oil & Gas EPCM Engineering Consultancy.
Experience in: Offshore Platforms, Onshore Oil & Gas Facilities, FEED & Detailed
Engineering, Brownfield and Greenfield projects Industry Oil & Gas / Offshore / Onshore
Location: Engineering Design Office -Mumbai
Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for design, engineering, analysis, and execution support of electrical systems for offshore and onshore oil & gas facilities including platforms, process plants, terminals, refineries, gas processing units, and utility systems.
The role involves FEED, detailed engineering, procurement support, vendor coordination, construction support, and commissioning activities in compliance with international standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare Electrical Design Basis and philosophies and perform electrical system studies and calculations
Design and engineering of: Power Generation Systems, HV/LV Distribution Systems, UPS Systems ,Emergency Power Systems, Lighting Systems, Earthing & Lightning Protection ,Heat Tracing Systems Cathodic Protection interfaces, Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD). Develop Load List and load calculations. Prepare cable sizing and voltage drop calculations, Prepare electrical layouts and equipment layouts.
Prepare and review of: Single Line Diagrams, Load Schedules, Cable Schedules, Equipment Datasheets, Cable Routing Layouts, Lighting Layouts, Earthing Layouts, Hazardous Area Layouts, MCC/PMCC Specifications, UPS& Battery Sizing Calculations, Short Circuit & Load Flow Studies, Motor Schematics and Interlock Diagrams, Material Take-Off (MTO)
Handle engineering and specification of: Transformers, Switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, UPS/Battery Chargers, Diesel Generator Systems, Motors, Lighting Fixtures ,Heat Tracing Systems, Cathodic Protection interfaces
- Offshore / Hazardous Area Engineering
Selection of electrical equipment suitable for hazardous areas. Ensure compliance with the following Standards & Regulation: ATEX, IECEx, IEC, IS, IEA, API, NFPA, Client specifications, Knowledge of offshore marine environmental requirements.
Coordinate and perform: Load Flow Analysis, Short Circuit Analysis, Motor Starting Studies, Relay Coordination Studies, Arc Flash Studies, Using software such as: ETAP & PSCAD
- Vendor & Procurement Support
Prepare Technical Requisitions (TBE/MR). Review vendor documents and drawings. Participate in technical bid evaluations.
- Coordinate with suppliers and package vendors
Coordination Responsibilities Coordinate with: Process Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical/Piping , Structural/Civil , Telecom, Project Management, Clients and EPC Contractors Educational
Bachelor’s Degree in: Electrical Engineering OR Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
