Position Overview
As a Security Guard at Woodstock Resorts, Madikeri, you are the first line of defense in ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our guests, staff, and property. This role combines vigilant physical security with warm, hospitality-focused service. You will monitor resort entry points, manage vehicle access, conduct routine patrols across the property grounds, and respond promptly to any security or emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Access Control & Gate Management
Monitor and manage access at main entrance gates for vehicles, guests, visitors, and vendors.
Verify guest reservations, check vendor paperwork, and maintain accurate entry/exit logbooks.
Guide arriving guests warmly toward the reception area and direct parking.
2. Property Patrol & Surveillance
Conduct regular foot patrols across resort premises, including guest villas, pathways, utility areas, and perimeter lines.
Monitor CCTV surveillance cameras and security systems to identify suspicious activities or safety hazards.
Ensure all doors, gates, storage rooms, and restricted areas are securely locked outside operational hours.
3. Guest Relations & Service Assistance
Greet all arriving guests with courtesy and respect, maintaining the resort’s hospitality standards.
Assist guests with basic directions, luggage support during peak arrivals if needed, or emergency assistance.
Handle guest concerns regarding safety or quiet hours professionally and discreetly.
4. Incident Response & Safety Protocols
Respond immediately to alarms, emergency calls, medical situations, or fire hazards.
Enforce resort rules, fire safety policies, and noise control guidelines during night shifts.
Document and report all security incidents, damages, lost-and-found items, or unauthorized entries to management promptly.
5. Vendor & Material Verification
Inspect delivery vehicles, materials, and equipment entering or leaving the property.
Manage gate passes for resort assets or equipment undergoing maintenance.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Minimum 10th standard pass (12th standard preferred).
Experience: 1–3 years of security experience (experience in hotel, resort, or luxury hospitality settings is a strong advantage).
Languages: Working knowledge of Kannada (essential for local coordination) and English or Hindi (for guest interaction).
Physical Fitness: Strong physical health, good vision, and the ability to handle extended periods of standing, walking, and outdoor patrols in Coorg’s weather conditions.
Key Skills & Attributes
High level of integrity, alertness, and attention to detail.
Polite, professional demeanour suited for luxury resort guest interaction.
Knowledge of basic fire-fighting techniques and basic First Aid.
Ability to stay calm and assertive during high-stress or emergency situations.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
