The Project Manager will lead livelihood interventions for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) in Vellore district, working closely with the Program team. The role spans direct community engagement, government and bank coordination, and oversight of five taluka coordinators to ensure effective, last-mile delivery.
1. PwD Community Engagement
- Engage PwD communities across four districts to understand needs and livelihood aspirations
- Mobilise beneficiaries and identify opportunities for enterprise or skill development
- Facilitate awareness sessions, group meetings, and training programmes
2. Government & Institutional Coordination
- Engage with district disability departments to map schemes and entitlements
- Coordinate with banks for credit and financial access
- Maintain relationships with block and district officials and serve as the bridge between communities and the CMC team
3. Livelihood Planning & Support
- Plan and implement livelihood interventions-skill training, enterprise support, scheme access-suited to PwD
- Coordinate with training partners and vendors for timely delivery
- Support end-users through training and follow-up
4. Taluka Coordinator Oversight
- Guide and coordinate five taluka coordinators for consistent implementation across districts
- Conduct regular field visits and resolve bottlenecks
- Keep activities aligned with programme timelines
5. Monitoring, Data & Reporting
- Maintain field data on activities, beneficiaries, and outcomes
- Support reporting through field notes and documentation
- Flag implementation gaps and contribute case studies and success stories
6. Feedback & Learning
- Capture field insights on community needs and programme gaps
- Share feedback for continuous improvement
- Participate in team reviews and learning events
Candidates with a Master's degree in Social Sciences or Vocational Sciences will be preferred.
- 4–6 years in disability programming, livelihoods, or community development
- Familiarity with Tamil Nadu government disability schemes and entitlements
- Strong facilitation skills; ability to work sensitively with marginalised groups
- Ability to coordinate across government, community, and field teams
- Willingness to travel extensively across all four districts
- Basic documentation and reporting skills; Tamil proficiency preferred
