HACA is looking for a passionate and skilled Video Editing Mentor who can train and guide students in developing practical, industry-relevant video editing skills.
The mentor will be responsible for delivering hands-on training, helping students work on real-world projects, providing constructive feedback, and preparing them for professional opportunities in video editing and content creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging video editing training sessions for students.
- Teach video editing concepts from beginner to advanced levels through practical, hands-on sessions.
- Train students on industry-standard editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or other relevant software.
- Explain editing techniques including cutting, transitions, audio editing, color correction, subtitles, motion graphics, and visual storytelling.
- Guide students in creating social media videos, YouTube videos, advertisements, reels, promotional videos, and other digital content
- Provide practical assignments and real-world projects to help students build their portfolios.
- Review student work and provide constructive, actionable feedback.
- Identify individual learning gaps and provide personalized mentoring and support.
- Keep students updated with current video editing trends, tools, techniques, and industry practices.
- Encourage creativity and help students develop their own editing style.
- Guide students in building professional portfolios and preparing for freelance or employment opportunities.
- Conduct assessments, project reviews, and practical evaluations.
- Maintain student progress records and communicate feedback to the academic team.
- Collaborate with other mentors and the academic team to improve the learning experience.
Requirements
- Strong practical knowledge of video editing and post-production
- Proficiency in one or more professional editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut
- Good understanding of storytelling, pacing, sound design, color correction, transitions, and motion graphics
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good English communication is essential.

- Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and practical manner.
