Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering: Develop 3D models and 2D detailing for blanking, piercing, forming, bending, and progressive tools.
Feasibility Analysis: Conduct stamping feasibility studies, including strip layout design, material utilization, and blank development.
Documentation: Prepare detailed BOM (Bill of Materials), assembly drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
Tool Development & Trials: Support the tool room during manufacturing, debugging, and testing to ensure tools meet quality standards.
Cost Optimization: Estimate tool costs, evaluate cost drivers, and optimize designs for efficiency and durability.
Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation: Tool and Die Making (DTDM), or equivalent.
Experience: 3–5+ years in Jig, Fixtures ,press tool design, with specific experience in progressive and multi-stage dies.
Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of AutoCAD,NX, SolidWorks, or Cimatron/Creo.
Technical Skills: Deep understanding of sheet metal properties, tool steels, and manufacturing processes like wire cutting, grinding, and hardening.
