Job Description – Steward / Team Member (Continental Restaurant)
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Steward / Team Member for our Continental Restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent guest service, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, assisting in food and beverage service, and ensuring guests enjoy a pleasant dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Present menus and assist guests with menu selections.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen.
- Serve food and beverages according to restaurant service standards.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by responding promptly to requests and concerns.
- Set up and clear tables before, during, and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, service stations, and restaurant premises.
- Refill water, beverages, condiments, cutlery, and other dining essentials as required.
- Assist fellow team members during busy service periods.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Support opening and closing duties, including stocking supplies and preparing service areas.
- Handle guest feedback professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
Requirements
- High School/Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a restaurant, café, or hospitality environment is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Continental cuisine and restaurant service standards.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude with strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Well-groomed appearance and professional behavior.
