Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and result-oriented Assistant Manager (Operations & Maintenance) to oversee daily fleet operations and maintenance activities. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring smooth fleet deployment, route compliance, driver management, fuel efficiency, maintenance coordination, safety standards, and timely reporting to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities1. Fleet Operations Management
- Ensure maximum fleet availability and efficient daily vehicle deployment.
- Monitor vehicle utilization and minimize operational downtime.
- Coordinate with workshops for timely vehicle readiness.
2. Route & Schedule Compliance
- Ensure adherence to approved routes and schedules.
- Monitor on-time departures and trip completion.
- Resolve operational issues affecting route performance.
3. Driver & Crew Management
- Supervise drivers and operational staff.
- Ensure proper duty allocation, attendance, discipline, and productivity.
- Address operational concerns and support team performance.
4. Fuel Efficiency Control
- Monitor fuel consumption and vehicle mileage.
- Maintain fuel records and identify abnormal fuel usage.
- Support initiatives to improve fuel efficiency and control operational costs.
5. Breakdown & Maintenance Coordination
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance with workshop teams.
- Monitor vehicle repair status and reduce turnaround time.
- Ensure timely rectification of maintenance issues to minimize service interruptions.
6. Safety & Accident Control
- Ensure compliance with road safety regulations and company safety policies.
- Monitor accident cases and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Promote safe driving practices and operational discipline.
7. Reporting & MIS
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, maintenance, fuel consumption, and driver performance.
- Analyze operational data and support continuous process improvement.

Required Skills
- Sound knowledge of fleet operations and vehicle maintenance.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and automobile systems.
- Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and operational reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operational activities.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 4–5 years of experience in fleet operations, transport operations, workshop coordination, logistics, or vehicle maintenance.
- Experience in handling drivers, fleet scheduling, maintenance coordination, and operational reporting.
- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and ensure uninterrupted operations.
Pay: Up to ₹21,000.00 per month
