About the role
The Student Engagement Manager will be based in India, preferably Delhi or Mumbai. This role will include visiting and training agents, market engagement and development, and building relationships with schools, counselors, institutional partners, and other key stakeholders.
This role will be especially important in helping CSU build a high-quality, institutionally owned outreach presence in South Asia, with an emphasis on sustainable growth, agent quality, student fit, and market feedback that can inform campus processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend engagement and outreach events, agent meetings, school visits, fairs, webinars, and other market-facing activities.
- Promote CSU’s academic programs, institutional strengths, student outcomes, location, and value proposition to counselors, agents, and partners and other stakeholders.
- Support student outreach and engagement for both undergraduate and graduate programs.
- Support and contribute to the University’s objectives through market development and in-market engagement activities.
- Assist with onboarding, training, monitoring, and ongoing support of CSU-approved agents, with attention to ethical outreach, student quality, accurate advising, and long-term partner fit.
- Build and maintain relationships with agents, feeder schools, counselors, alumni, institutional partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Support admitted-student follow-up, conversion, and yield activities.
- Provide market feedback on student concerns, visa trends, documentation issues, competitor messaging, and factors that may affect conversion or visa outcomes.
- Help strengthen CSU’s in-market reputation by ensuring agents, counselors, and students receive accurate, consistent, and realistic information about CSU programs, admissions expectations, costs, outcomes, and student support.
- Track and report on engagement activities, contacts, event outcomes, agent engagement, market conditions, and emerging opportunities.
- Share observations from the market that may help CSU improve student outreach operations, communications, application processes, and admitted-student follow-up.
Support CSU staff or faculty traveling to the region by helping coordinate meetings, briefings, itineraries, and follow-up.

The Most Suitable Background
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in education, international education, student engagement and outreach, or a related field.
- Experience with U.S. higher education in student engagement and marketing.
- Experience working with agents, schools, counselors, or institutional partners preferred.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Ability to write clear emails, reports, and activity updates in English.
- Strong presentation, relationship-building, organizational, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to work independently while staying closely aligned with CSU and Grok.
Work or study experience in the United States preferred.
