Core Responsibilities
- Customer Intake: Greet customers, listen to vehicle complaints, and document performance issues accurately.
- Job Card Creation: Open official job cards detailing the required repairs, timelines, and cost estimations.
- Initial Diagnosis: Perform visual inspections or brief road tests to verify customer complaints.
- Workshop Coordination: Translate customer descriptions into actionable work orders for the mechanical team.
- Service Tracking: Monitor repair progress to ensure vehicles are completed within the promised timeframe.
- Upselling & Promotion: Recommend extended warranties, roadside assistance packages, or original equipment manufacturer (OEM) accessories.
- Quality Check: Perform final vehicle inspections prior to handover to ensure all repair standards are met.
- Billing & Handover: Explain the finalized invoice details, parts replaced, and warranty protections to the customer.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: ITI or a Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering is highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Clear understanding of two-wheeler engine mechanics, electrical components, and routine maintenance protocols.
- Communication: Ability to break down technical mechanical terminology into simple explanations for customers.
- Tools & Software: Experience using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and standard billing software.
- Problem Solving: Competency in handling customer complaints, billing discrepancies, or delays efficiently.
- Licensing: A valid two-wheeler driving license is required for conducting vehicle road tests.
