A Civil Manager is responsible for planning, supervising, and managing civil construction projects to ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee civil construction activities.
- Manage site operations, contractors, subcontractors, and labor teams.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, engineers, and vendors.
- Prepare project budgets, cost estimates, and resource plans.
- Monitor project expenses and control costs.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks.
- Resolve technical and operational issues at the construction site.
- Prepare progress reports and submit updates to management.
- Manage procurement of construction materials and equipment.
- Ensure proper documentation and record keeping of project activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in civil construction/project management.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, and MS Office.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
