This position is responsible for managing Industrial Relations (IR), Labour Compliance, Plant Administration, and Government Liaison activities at the manufacturing plant. The role ensures smooth employee relations, legal compliance, and effective administration operations.
1. Industrial Relations (IR)

Maintain healthy and productive industrial relations with employees, unions and worker representatives.

Support wage settlements, collective bargaining negotiations and Charter of Demands discussions.

Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions and misconduct cases.
-
Conduct and coordinate domestic inquiries, charge sheets and disciplinary proceedings.
-
Facilitate implementation of Standing Orders, service conditions and company policies.

Manage labour disputes, conciliation proceedings and labour court matters.

Develop proactive employee engagement and communication initiatives.
-
Monitor workforce sentiments and recommend preventive IR interventions.
Coordinate with Plant Leadership on workforce productivity and industrial harmony initiatives

2. Statutory Compliance & Labour Law Management
-
Ensure compliance with all applicable labour legislation and statutory requirements.
Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and maintenance of statutory registers. -
Conduct periodic compliance audits and compliance gap assessments.

Coordinate statutory inspections and closure of observations.
-
Manage external compliance audit.
-
Maintain legal compliance dashboards and MIS reports.
3. Administration & Facility Management
Oversee plant administration functions including:

Security Management

Housekeeping Services

Transportation
-
Canteen Operations
-
Visitor Management
-
Facility Maintenance
-
Manage annual administration budgets and service contracts.

Coordinate infrastructure maintenance and vendor management.
-
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to facility operations.Drive cost optimization initiatives across administration functions.
4. Government & Legal Liaison
-
Liaise with Labour Department, Factory Inspectorate, Pollution Control Board and local authorities.

Coordinate labour law inspections and statutory audits.
-
Support legal proceedings related to labour and employment matters.
-
Manage responses to notices received from government authorities.
-
Represent the organization before labour authorities and government agencies as required.

Should be a Graduate with MLW/MSW/MBA (HR)
-
Degree in Law (LLB) preferred
-
Certification in Labour Laws, Compliance Management or Industrial Relations will be an added advantage

Minimum 10 years of experience in Industrial Relations, Labour Compliance, Contract Labour Management and Plant Administration

Experience in Chemical, Manufacturing, FMCG, Engineering or Pharmaceutical industries preferred
