The Quality Checker is responsible for inspecting raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished products to ensure they meet company quality standards and customer specifications. The role requires identifying defects, maintaining inspection records, and coordinating with production teams to minimize quality issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality inspections during production and on finished products.
- Check product dimensions, appearance, stitching, measurements, and finishing as per quality standards.
- Identify, classify, and report defects to the Production Supervisor.
- Ensure products comply with customer specifications and company quality guidelines.
- Maintain inspection reports, quality records, and rejection reports.
- Conduct random quality audits on production lines.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Segregate defective products and coordinate for repair or rework.
- Verify that corrective actions have been completed before final approval.
- Support root cause analysis for recurring quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping (5S), and company policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to reduce rejection and rework.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of quality inspection techniques.
- Ability to identify manufacturing and stitching defects.
- Basic understanding of quality tools and inspection methods.
- Attention to detail and strong observation skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to prepare inspection reports.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and record keeping.
Preferred Knowledge (Garment Industry)
- Understanding of AQL (Acceptable Quality Level).
- Knowledge of garment measurements and tolerances.
- Familiarity with stitching operations and common sewing defects.
- Ability to identify defects such as skipped stitches, open seams, puckering, broken stitches, incorrect measurements, shade variation, stains, oil marks, loose threads, and fabric defects.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
