Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Zonal Sales Manager to drive sales growth, dealer expansion, and farmer engagement across the assigned territory. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in direct farmer interaction, agri-input sales, dealer management, and market development.
Candidates with exposure to vegetable nurseries, tissue culture banana nurseries, fertilizers, pesticides, irrigation systems, mulching, polyhouses, or related agri-products will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement zonal sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual business targets
- Drive farmer outreach activities, field demonstrations, awareness programs, and promotional campaigns
- Build, manage, and expand dealer/distributor networks across the territory
- Conduct regular market visits to understand customer demand, competitor activities, and market trends
- Improve product visibility and strengthen brand positioning in the assigned zone
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and management teams to ensure timely product supply
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, market intelligence reports, and performance updates
- Train and support field teams, dealers, and channel partners
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and timely resolution of customer concerns
Required Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and marketing of one or more of the following:
- Vegetable Nursery
- Tissue Culture Banana Nursery
- Fertilizers
- Pesticides
- Plastic Mulches
- Drip Irrigation Systems
- Sprinkler Irrigation Systems
- Polyhouses
Desired Skills
- Strong knowledge of agri-input products and nursery operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation and sales closing capabilities
- Ability to lead and motivate field teams
- Good market analysis and strategic planning skills
- Understanding of regional crop patterns and farmer requirements
