Job Summary
Matrix Hospital, Mehdipatnam, is looking for one experienced and technically strong IT & EDP professional to independently manage and support the organization's day-to-day IT infrastructure and EDP operations.
The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on technical knowledge, practical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to independently handle IT infrastructure, networking, systems, hardware, software, EDP/MIS activities, and hospital IT applications.
Candidates with hospital/healthcare IT experience and HIS/Hospital Management Software experience will be preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesIT Infrastructure & Technical Support
- Manage and maintain desktops, laptops, servers, printers, scanners and other IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system and application-related issues.
- Install, configure and maintain Windows operating systems and business applications.
- Provide technical support to all departments and users.
- Maintain IT asset records, inventory and documentation.
- Handle IT-related installations, configurations and maintenance independently.
Networking & System Administration
- Strong hands-on knowledge of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers and switches.
- Configure and troubleshoot IP addressing, DNS, DHCP and network connectivity.
- Troubleshoot internet, LAN and Wi-Fi connectivity issues.
- Basic to good working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Monitor network and system performance.
- Coordinate with ISP and external vendors whenever required.
EDP & MIS Operations
- Independently handle day-to-day EDP operations.
- Prepare, maintain and verify MIS/EDP reports.
- Maintain data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support management and departments with required reports and data.
- Handle EDP-related documentation and operational records.
- Identify and resolve EDP-related issues in coordination with concerned departments.
Hospital IT / HIS Support
- Support and troubleshoot Hospital Information System (HIS) / Hospital Management Software.
- Provide IT/EDP support to OPD, IPD, Billing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, Reception and other departments.
- Handle user-level issues related to hospital applications.
- Coordinate with HIS/software vendors for application-related issues when required.
- Ensure smooth functioning of IT systems required for hospital operations.
Hardware, Peripheral & Security Support
- Troubleshoot printers, scanners, biometric devices and other peripherals.
- Basic knowledge of CCTV, NVR and IP camera systems will be an added advantage.
- Maintain system and data backups.
- Follow IT security, access control and data confidentiality procedures.
- Prevent unauthorized access, software installation and data leakage.
Required Skills
Must Have:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant IT & EDP experience.
- Strong practical and hands-on technical skills.
- Excellent hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
- Strong networking knowledge.
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
- Practical EDP/MIS reporting experience.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred:
- Hospital/Healthcare IT experience.
- Experience with HIS/Hospital Management Software.
- Experience with OPD/IPD/Billing/Pharmacy applications.
- CCTV/NVR/IP camera troubleshooting.
- Experience in managing IT infrastructure in a hospital or similar organization.
Emergency / On-Call Support
The selected candidate must be willing to provide 24/7 emergency support on an on-call basis whenever required for critical IT, network, server, HIS/EDP or other operational issues.
The candidate should be reachable by phone and capable of providing immediate telephone/remote support during critical emergencies outside regular working hours, whenever required.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for one technically strong individual who can take ownership of the complete IT & EDP operations and work independently with minimum supervision.
Candidates who are primarily experienced only in basic desktop support and do not have strong networking, system administration and EDP knowledge may not be suitable for this position.
