Job Title: Plant Operator Trainee
Job Purpose:
The Plant Operator Trainee will be trained to operate, monitor, and maintain plant equipment and processes in a safe and efficient manner. The role is designed to provide hands-on experience and knowledge required to become a competent Plant Operator, ensuring smooth plant operations, adherence to safety standards, and achievement of production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Learn and assist in operating plant machinery, equipment, and control systems.
Monitor plant processes, identify abnormalities, and report to senior operators or
supervisors.
Support routine checks, maintenance activities, and equipment inspections.
Maintain operational logs, records, and reports as instructed.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality
guidelines.
Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process issues under supervision.
Participate in on-the-job training, classroom sessions, and skill development
programs.
Ensure housekeeping and cleanliness in the plant area.
Comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related
engineering discipline.
Basic knowledge of industrial safety practices.
Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physically fit to work in plant/field environments.
Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills.
Skills Developed During Training:
Equipment operation and process monitoring.
Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
Understanding of process flow and Basic processes knowoledge.
Safety and emergency response procedures.
Team collaboration and reporting skills.
